Alloy Additive was born from the vision of Mehmet Çetinkaya, an engineer inspired by his space research project experience at the International Space Station with the support of NASA and ESA. Founded in 2020 in Istanbul, Turkey, the company set out to revolutionize large-scale metal 3D printing, especially with exotic materials like titanium, by targeting the problems that various industries face with metal manufacturing processes for structural parts.

What started as a hands-on experiment using gas tungsten arc welding to print a small titanium part grew into a bold venture. From repurposing a cheap polymer printer into a metal 3D printer, to developing a minimum viable product that caught the attention of industry leaders, Alloy Additive has been built on persistence, innovation, and technical excellence on materials, robotics, manufacturing and software.
